Focal Point

The definition of focal point is the point in the photograph that draws your attention.

The focal point in this photograph is the girls face looking at the bird, the photographer has drawn attention to it by vignetting the edges and making the focal point brighter and clearer than the rest of the photograph. The girls clothes and background are plain making the picture simple but effective. I like this picture because although the girl is dressed plainly she really stands out because of the contrast with the black colour of the bird she's holding and the plait in her hair adds more detail to the photograph that you dont really notice when you first look at it.
