I liked  this slideshowbecause i think it explains depth of field well and she has done it creativly.

Perous Portrait photography

Factual: These are all photographs by Perou who is a famous fashion, music and potrait photographer from Britain, he has appeared as a judge on tv show 'make me a supermodel' and more recently is part of E4 show 'dirty sexy things.'

Context: These photographs are not part of a set but are all portraits by Perou, they are all very different from each other which is why I like them. Some feature music artists like Jessie J and Katy Perry. Because there is such a range in these photographs, some are simple black and white and others use bright colours and patterns.

Technical: I think all these photographs were taken in a studio with a plain backdrop but a vary of colours. Some of the pictures include the models shadow on the wall/backdrop and I think most of them are real but they could of been edited in, like the devil horns and tail that are added onto one of the photos. Artificial lighting has been used to draw your focus to the focal point of the photo and also create effects like the shadows.

Aesthetic: I really like these pictures because each one is unique. I like the contrast of colours and also how some of the photos are really bright but others are just black and white but they're still really bold. I think the shadows are really effective because they make the person stand out more.
